my mission

Photography has been an unexpected teacher in my life. Over the past six years, the privilege of photographing hundreds of faces has corrected my false belief in "picture perfect"; we cannot delay photo taking for the time when life will look or be perfect because that time will never arrive. Instead, my place behind the camera and the people before me have prompted me to accept and treasure the faces and moments already at hand. 

Oftentimes, we miss this beauty though it's just beneath our noses, as we are caught in nostalgia or we long for a rosier future. But, with a camera in my hand, I make it my mission to uncover the richness dynamically unfolding here and now, to capture life in all its stages without hesitation . . . and, finally, to reflect what I see to you in your photographs.

My style aligns with my mission: I favor natural light and editing, and I never alter or photoshop my clients’ appearances.
